Update

After a labor-management meeting in which we expressed our concerns about student fees, management has agreed to an August 22 start date which would yield a chech for TA/GA's on 9/14 for eight days of pay. Management has further agreed to send international graduate TA/GA's an announcement on notice of admission laying out all deadlines, paycheck information, fee information, and payment options. While a step in the right direction, we need to do more; TA/GA's pay close to 10% of their yearly stipends in student fees, and this is something we need to address in the next contract negotiations.
